UBUNTU VILLAGE – By the Elands river

This is the home of the UBUNTU Village - creating a model for people to learn and absorb the philosophy of Ubuntu - people working together towards everybody's benefit. We have a growing number of volunteers that contribute to the diversity of our community. If you want to become a volunteer and join the team, please click on the appropriate button on the website for more information.

We are proud to have a humble but active country kitchen that creates delightful meals for visitors on the way to the Kruger Park and Maputo, and the best coffee on the N4. Or just come sip on a cocktail sundowner by the river on our deck. We are fully licensed.

Our space is suitable to host small events, workshops and conferences with a capacity of up to 60 people. These venues continue to be used to inform and educate people in a diverse field of knowledge. We focus on matters that promote higher consciousness, spirituality and enlightenment - from scientific to the metaphysical fields of knowledge. We are proud to say that we have had some the brightest minds in the area of science and consciousness that have already graced our humble space.

We are building a community kitchen to feed the homeless, jobless, the aged and the orphans. For this we need a host of support - please see our DONATIONS page for details how to contribute in many different ways. Everyone who arrives is provided with a good meal every day - as long as they participate in one of our community projects for 3 hours. These are our basic requirements and the simple foundation of the UBUNTU model we will expand on around South Africa.

We are growing an arts and crafts centre with a diverse display of foods and goods created by the community for the benefit of the community. Any ideas or contributions are always welcome to expand this activity.

The Stone Circle Museum of the vanished civilisations of southern Africa is also located on our premises. This is the work of Michael Tellinger and Johan Heine and presents an astonishing display of ancient artefacts, tools and photographs that support their relentless research into the mystery of human origins in South Africa. Books and DVDs on their research are available at the museum.
