Images From the Gala Opening Of the UBUNTU Community Hall in Waterval Boven

Finally the big day has come and we had our gala opening event last night at the new fixed up UBUNTU Community Hall in Waterval Boven, South Africa. We now firmly planted the idea of unity much deeper into the hearts of many more people. We had appearances by four local performers and groups and our special guest star Ntsiki Mazway who blessed us with her cutting edge and emotive musical peotry.

As always in these situations, we learn valuable lessons in hosting such events and many mistakes were made for us to learn from as we continue to build the foundations of the community projects that will be managed from this venue.

I am so proud and impressed by our volunteers in the hall, the garden and in the kitchen and especially Arnaud Dekker - our Dutch volunteer who project managed the past 2 weeks to make this all happen smoothly and without incident.
